WATER AND WASTEWATER INFRASTRUCTURE BUILT TO SERVE COMMUNITIES.

Midwest Power Systems (MPS) has been designing and building water and wastewater treatment infrastructure across Michigan and the Midwest since 1971. More than 200 treatment plants. Five decades of public infrastructure expertise. Now with the full backing of Lee Contracting.

WATER AND WASTEWATER PLANTS. BUILT RIGHT.
BUILT TO LAST.

Midwest Power Systems has been building water and wastewater infrastructure since 1971. More than 50 years and 200 treatment plants later, that experience shows up in how we plan, build, coordinate, and deliver complex infrastructure projects.

MPS works with municipalities, engineers, agencies, private developers, and industrial clients across Michigan, northern Ohio, and Indiana. Our team understands the technical demands of treatment infrastructure and what it takes to deliver work that has to perform reliably for decades.

As part of Lee Contracting, MPS combines deep water and wastewater expertise with greater capacity, broader capabilities, and the resources to support more complex projects.

For longtime clients, it’s the Midwest Power Systems experience you know. For new clients, it’s decades of proven water and wastewater expertise backed by more capability than ever before.

QUICK FACTS

BUILT FOR THE FULL LIFECYCLE OF PUBLIC WATER INFRASTRUCTURE.

Midwest Power Systems delivers water and wastewater projects through traditional general contracting and design-build. We work closely with civil and environmental engineers, consulting firms, owners, and project stakeholders to align design, construction, schedule, and execution from the start.

Planning a project? Let’s discuss the right delivery approach for your scope.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT CONSTRUCTION

New facility construction for municipal water treatment systems, from raw water intake through distribution-ready treated water. Designed and built to MDHHS, EPA, and applicable state standards, with the documentation and compliance management public projects require.

WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT CONSTRUCTION

New wastewater treatment facility construction for municipalities and utility authorities, including primary and secondary treatment, biosolids handling, and effluent discharge infrastructure. Built to perform to permit requirements from day one.

PLANT ADDITIONS & UPGRADES

Capacity expansions, process upgrades, equipment replacement, and facility improvements for existing water and wastewater treatment plants. Extends operational life and keeps facilities current with regulatory requirements.

DESIGN-BUILD DELIVERY

Collaborative design-build project delivery in partnership with engineers and consulting firms, from preliminary design through commissioning. Reduces design-construction conflicts, compresses schedules, and keeps accountability in one place.

LIFT STATION CONSTRUCTION & REHABILITATION

Water and wastewater pump station construction, retrofits, and emergency repair. When a pump station fails, system continuity is at risk. MPS responds with the technical depth to restore operations fast.

PUMP STATION CONSTRUCTION & REPAIR

Pump station construction, rehabilitation, and emergency repair for municipal water distribution systems. MPS brings the technical depth and field resources to build new stations to specification and respond quickly when existing ones fail.

PRV PITS & FLOW METERS

Pressure reducing valve pit construction and flow meter installation supporting water distribution system control and accurate monitoring. Properly installed and documented to support long-term system performance and regulatory reporting.

ONGOING MAINTENANCE PROGRAMS

Scheduled maintenance, inspection, and repair programs for operating water and wastewater facilities. Keeps treatment plants performing to specification between capital improvement cycles and reduces the risk of unplanned failures.

NEED EARTHWORK, UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, OR SITE DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUR WATER PROJECT?

Our Lee Civil earthwork team handles that scope.
