Pontiac, Michigan – Lee Industrial Contracting, a leading industrial contractor in the manufacturing space, is excited to announce they have joined forces with Johnston Contracting Inc. (JCI), a heavy civil contractor servicing the Greater Mid-Michigan.
For nearly seven decades, JCI has been a cornerstone in the heavy civil contracting sector in the Midland region. JCI boasts an impressive portfolio of services including site development, underground utility installation and repairs, demolition, foundation excavation, site restoration and more.
“As Lee Contracting expands its presence throughout the state, adding the services offered by JCI to our portfolio was a natural fit for us,” said Frederick Cauley, president and CEO, Lee Industrial Contracting. He continued, “Johnston Contracting’s unparalleled expertise, legacy and commitment to excellence align perfectly with our vision, and we look forward to integrating their experienced team into our operations and continuing the tradition of excellence for which Johnston Contracting is known.”
“On behalf of myself and the entire JCI staff, it is an honor to join forces with Lee Industrial Contracting,” said Lee Johnston, son of JCI’s founder. He continued, “Sharing a common philosophy of ethics and quality makes this acquisition worry-free. It’s a wonderful feeling to know that our company will continue to prosper into the next century.”
Lee Johnston will play an integral part during the transition and will contribute to the company’s continued progress for the foreseeable future. Daily operations will continue to run out of JCI’s 12,600 sf facility in Midland.
